Some people tinker with old cars, I tinker with my blog dealy.

Fixed some things up, navigation almost makes sense now... though It's still a bit fruity... amazing how far things have come really over the years. I remember back when I twas one big flat list a mile long full of barely compressed PNG's as images, I don't even want to think of how many hours have gone into it. I know I've clocked around 50 hours in for the backend, but I'm betting I forget to clock it half the time

:-)

Woo just (finally) made Links clickable... sad that took me 40 Minutes to figure out

:-D

I still have lots of todo items to keep me busy with in future for this site. Making the design more interesting perhaps, though I don't want to distract from the content, it is lacking in style.

That's big, now all that place needs is grass and trees, I\'m sure they can fly some in with that kind of money. Showoffs

Just spent all day fixing and improving this Blog *shudder* I really gotta think of a better thing to call it.

Now it has super magical powers

You can go backwards and forwards viewing 7 days at a time which means it will no longer be a gigantic 300 pages 100mb page.. damn ill miss that.

This is something it should have had from the start, but I couldn't figure out how to go about parsing XML by date and then spitting it back out, but I figured it out at last after applying myself and giving up on finding a ready made solution someone had already done.

It's rounding up nicely now, It's very very usable apart from 1 thing really
If you go back 7 days and there's nothing there it laughs at you and shows you nothing. So I need to make the buttons smarter so they indicate and go back the required distance in days to reach the next available entry. And right now I'm too tired to tackle that.

Also I've decided it will not publish the current weeks blog till the week is over thus avoiding constant changes and updates.

I'm having huge problems parsing XML still which is preventing me from making it awesome, so if something sucks, blame PHP poor default XML handling

Just spent around 22 working ours redoing a lot of my RSS-RTF code and adding old work to the database

It's been optimized greatly 3x faster at least and now is much cleaner code and easier to read. Also now has support for none image formats like Movies and Flash files, they show up as links to the files. And added a new section called 'Experiments' which is purely my work and experimental stuff with all the jibber jabber taken out.

My Work and Experimental work in progress:

Link: helios.mine.nu --- Experiments

My Blog of sorts with random nonesense/news aaand and Work/Experimental work in progress

Link: helios.mine.nu --- store

I think the next thing for me to do is stop the HTML view from loading ALL the entries, have it paginated so it doesn't show everything dating back several years all at once.
