I've been playing with RealFlow trying to get a paint like gooey stretchy look, finally figured out that Surface Tension was the important ingredient in high values: 2000+

Guide here:

And some earlier not so successful but entertaining tests:

And this is just funny and awesome:

I created a fluid simulation a while ago and have been trying to find a way to pick out select particles and trace them, this turned out more difficult than one would expect. Requiring me to learn a new programming language (Python) in order to create something in realflow to pick out particles and clone them into a new emitter allowing for export to Cinema 4D.

FInally finished the python code to do it and imported it into cinema for some rough test renders:

Just created something that will trace the particles within realflow, allowing it to be meshed in realflow:

Realflow's execution of Python is unbelievably slow to the point of being useless, that or I''m doing something really wrong

Dunno who to blame for glitches, I have weird glitches across ALL applications lately, maybe my GPU is dying

More fun in RealFlow

Below is a editor render of the fluid.

In Cinema (15 minutes):

In Maxwell (4hours):

14 hours (and some post) later:

Cinema down a plug hole:

Maxwell down a plug hole:

Yes the maxwell render is out of focus, It's one of the problems of having a real camera setup and simulated lens
(and not setting up up correctly), but it still knocks the socks off cinemas render

:-)

Oops forgot to turn the water on on this

:-P

Dewey: Like Pastor Roy said, how God's so much bigger and wiser than us. And trying to see what he's thinking would be like an ant trying to see what I'm thinking. Teacher: Yes, exactly. But we can trust in his wisdom and we can have faith that he is watching over us. Dewey: Like me with the anthill in my backyard. I spent days watching the ants, trying to figure out which ones were good and which ones were bad. But they all just look like ants. So I started smiting all of them. I was smiting them with the garden hose, and with lighter fluid, and with the lawnmower. And to be perfectly honest, I think I went a little crazy with the shovel. Those ants could have been praying to me all day; I wouldn't have heard 'em. There was nothing they could do about it. Really, It's the same with us. There's nothing we can do about anything, either. So why worry about it? Hey, this is making me feel better. I guess all we can do is live our lives with as much kindness and decency as possible and try not to dwell on God standing over us with that giant shovel. Bye!
